Rare French Wall Clock
A rare design French dial antique clock. A well cast gilt bronze bezel with drum rear case. A convex enamel dial with 5 minute outer markers and gold dots. Finely made pair of original engraved hands. An 8-day duration mechanism by Marti of Paris striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Circa 1870.

Gille of Paris is recorded in Tardy's French Clockmakers book as working from 1840.
