Rare Caughley Porcelain Fisherman Patty / Tart Pan
A sweet Caughley porcelain tart pan printed with the popular "fisherman" (or "pleasure boat") pattern. These pans are sometimes called patty pans and were used to make tarts of all types. Due to the nature of their role they are now very rare to come across. Unmarked, c.1780-1790.
Reference: Caughley & Worcester Porcelains by Godden, pages 35, 107 and plate 184.
It measures 9.8cm (3 7/8") wide and 3.5cm (1 3/8") high.
Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
