A collectors dream! - This is a fabulous, Stratnoid powder compact that has been carefully preserved in its original presentation box. Immaculate, measuring c. 2" inch square, I doubt it has been out of its box in 70 years! - Set to an early Stratnoid (pre Stratton) case, the picture is made using the popular butterfly wing technique of the period, which is still bright and vibrant, it depicts the Alcantara, a cruiser built by Harland & Wolff in Belfast she launched in 1927, running the route from Southampton to South America. All clasps and hinges perfect, even the original puff is present - this is in the best of condition and will delight the most discerning of buyers.
