Circa 1880. Quality Meiji period, Imari deep hexagonal platter. The centre with beautifully hand painted figures in gilt and tangerine clothing by hawthorn tree in blossom and chrysanthemum flower heads. The sides of the dish with panels of reds and greens and surrounded by flow-blue geometric and intricate foliate decorations The back of the dish with further decorations, in perfect condition.
