Precision Laboratory Jack by Avery.
A 20th century precision laboratory jack made by W & T Avery Ltd of London (Signed).
The instrument has been provided for the City of Newcastle upon Tyne for their weights and measures department and is engraved so.
The well made instrument stands on three adjustable feet, the platform is raised and lowered by an adjustable wheel and the top has two spirit levels fitted. We assume the feet are adjusted to get the platform accurately horizontal.
The brass instrument is in good order and we have left it in it's original condition with no polishing. (Circa 1920-1950)
