This is a pair of tall antique stem vases. An Austrian, ceramic flower sleeve, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.
Beautifully decorated vases, with superb colour and figural scenes
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Quality ceramic with a light cream ground and a fine, glazed appearance
Rich colours accentuate the vase, the vibrant pink bands catching the eye
Tall, slender handles decorated with gilt finish sit above the circular rim
Further gilt touches with chased foliate patterns throughout
Each vase presents a quality traditional scene with female figures and a jovial cherub
Set amongst colourful flowers in a stately garden, presenting an idyllic scene
The base displaying the Royal Vienna or Wien maker's mark
'Bindenschild' mark taken from the centre of the Royal Habsburg coat of arms
One vase bears an aged French dealer label from the town of St. Etienne
