A superb pair of large Art Deco ceiling light fittings in excellent antique condition. The solid oak frames are boldly carved with stylised flame finials and scrolling Deco motifs, the workmanship crisp and confident. Each shade is formed from multiple shaped alabaster panels set within the oak gallery — a more refined construction than the usual single‑bowl pendants. Removed from Castle Dunlossit on the Isle of Islay, they carry desirable Scottish estate provenance. Substantial, architectural and clearly commissioned for an important interior, pairs of this scale and quality are increasingly scarce. A rare opportunity to acquire a matched pair of statement Art Deco lights, elegant and steeped in Hebridean history.
