This is a pair of antique folio stands. An English, oak A-frame book rest or recital stand in the manner of the Cotswold School, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1920.
Beautifully detailed and crafted, in the Cotswold School tradition
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select oak stocks present fine grain interest and wisps of medullary rays
Beaming caramel hues bask beneath a quality wax polish finish
Striking A-frame form, with a gently domed apex and graceful falling rear support
Wide lower rest with raised support, ideal for propping up an open book

Dressed with a protective emerald green baize underneath
