THE ART WORK IS A LOVELY DESIGN
Satsuma vases were first produced in the 17th century during the Edo period (1603-1868) in the Satsuma province of Kyushu, Japan. The province was known for its high-quality clay which was ideal for pottery production. The early Satsuma vases were made for the local market and were used for storing rice and other grains.
