New to the market from Ireland, we are offering for sale this magnificent, large pair of heavily Silver Plated Gothic Church Candlesticks ornamented with cabochons in red glass in the style of A. W. N. Pugin.

Each tall candle sconce leads down to a dished drip pan, with pierced Gothic gallery. The reeded column interspersed with a small knop, leads to a central knop with four ornamental red glass cabochons. It continues down through another small knop to a stepped, cast iron loaded base, set upon three lion's paw feet.

These are a really superb pair of candlesticks - they have been heavily silver plated and the quality and workmanship is excellent. They have been beautifully made. We have never seen a similar pair for sale.

Material Silver Plate

Condition Excellent. There is no wear to the plate. There are slight scratches to the inside of the drip pan and rim of the sconce consistent with age and use.
