Oak Frame Orkney Chair
Circa 1920 an oak frame Orkney chair attributed to ‘David Kirkness of Kirkwall Orkney’ with the classic straw back finished with marram grass. Contained within an oak frame with two shaped out swept arms with shaped ends, supported on uprights which are bolted to the sides of the chair. The drop in marram grass seat, sits flush with the seat frame, simple square tapering legs all united by conforming stretchers.
