Noel Harry Lever 'Lichfield Cathedral' watercolour
This is a beautiful watercolour of Lichfield Cathedral, by the artist
Noel Harry Leaver A.R.C.A. He was born in 1889(Austwick,Settle) and died in 1951 (Burnley,Lancashire).
Lever painted landscapes, street scenes and architechtural views in watercolour. He painted many English Cathedrals. He studied at Burnley School of Art and the R.C.A. He taught at Halifax Technical College, then travelled in North Africa and Europe, returning to Burnley. He exhibited widely in the north of England, and is noted for his North African scenes in hot blue skies. It is believed that he used the pseudonym of Cyril Hardy.
