New Hall Milk Jug Pattern 241 Circa 1795


We have for sale a lovely 18th century New hall milk jug.
This lovely and typically elegant New Hall milk jug is decorated with Pattern No 241 consisting of polychrome colours with a thin floral line border and a central spray of flowers and foliage. The base is marked with the pattern number 241 (see A partial Reconstruction of The New hall pattern Book by Pat Preller).
The milk jug is 4 & 3/4 inches (12.1cm)in high, and is in an excellent original condition with no chips cracks or repairs and very little wear to the decoration. However, the handle does have a small firing fault, see Photograph 5.
