Moorish Games Table
A very decorative Moorish" Damascus" marquetry games table for cards, chess, draughts and backgammon. The top lifts to reveal a baised inset playing surface which also lifts to the backgammon board with the chess board to the reverse. Raised on serpentine shaped legs with joining cross stretchers. The whole profusely inlaid overall with geometric designs in boxwood, ebony, mother of pearl, olive and various other exotic woods. Condition- Good with a small shrinkage split to the middle of the top, not easy to see in photos but reflected in the price. Dimensions:- Height…32.5’’/ 82.5cm. Width…33.25’’/ 84.5cm. Depth…17’’/ 43cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £50.
