This is a vintage Marianne de Trey studio pottery stoneware lamp base with her impressed mark of a shell within a circle, made in the 1960s or 70s. It is decorated with an abstract design in white, which looks like birds in flight, against a stone coloured glaze background.

Dimensions: Height of pot - 25.5 cm, Height to shade ring 29 cm
Diameter (Max) 12 cm.
Weight 1.1 kg

Condition: The lamp base is in excellent condition without chips or cracks. It has recently been rewired by our electrician with a generous length of gold PVC covered cable, and at the same time been given a switched lamp holder as well as a switch on the cable. It doesn't come with a shade but we would recommend pairing it with a 35cm coolie shade (as pictured) or a 30 cm tapered drum shade.
