Maple & Co. Breakfront Walnut Bookcase
An attractive and good quality Maple & Co. walnut breakfront George Il style bookcase. The top having a swan neck pediment with cross grain mouldings above the beaded frieze. The 4 glazed doors all with solid walnut cross grain astragal bars and subtle canted corners. The doors open to an arrangement of 3 fully adjustable walnut shelves. The breakfront base having a serpentine shaped centre with 4 cross banded doors and the whole standing on a cross grain moulded base with ogee shaped bracket feet with acanthus carved detail. This bookcase retains the maker’s label for “ MAPLE & CO. BY ROYAL APPOINTMENT. LONDON, PARIS & BUENOS ARIES “. Fully cleaned and waxed with all working locks and keys.
