A superb Chippendale style pedestal desk. There is an arrangement of one long central drawer, above two pairs of graduated drawers which flank a small cupboard. All the drawers are fitted with original swan handles with pierced back plates. The top and bottom right drawer are self-locking when closed.
The beautiful blind fret work, the shell detail in the shaped central frieze along with the C scroll shaped and leave carving to the bracket feet makes this little writing desk truly attractive.
