This is an antique lead architect's riser desk. An English, mahogany draughtsman or cartographer's table, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.
Exceptional craftsmanship for the discerning architect or cartographer
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
Select stocks present striking colour and fine grain interest
A grand piece, with marvellous flexibility for multiple disciplines
Dual-fold riser top a hallmark of this fine professional desk
First rising to an angle, resting upon graduated nacelles upon the frame
Once raised, the writing slope articulates to a near horizontal angle
