A 1930's Art Deco candle holder/inkwell garniture designed and handpainted by Mabel V Hodgkiss for William Bennett. She was a student at the Burslem School of Art and joined William Bennett specifically to design and hand paint in the style of Clarice Cliff and Myott. These items are now extremely hard to find and this one is in exceptional condition for it's age with no damage or restoration guaranteed. There are no chips or cracks. The paintwork is excellent with just a couple of tiny flecks, a couple of spots where the paint has missed and a couple of tiny raised clay spots . Some very light crazing.
