Large Linthorpe Pottery Aesthetic Movement drip glazed vase c1885. Known Dresser designed shape consisting of a footed, elongated ovoid body with flared cylindrical neck. Attractive drip-glaze in tonal blues and greens with the terracotta coloured body exposed towards the rim. Impressed Linthorpe mark and number 477 to the base. The vase measures 37.5 cm in height and 17.5 cm maximum diameter.
This vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. Glaze is crazed throughout - as is very commonly seen with Linthorpe pieces. Crazing being much more evident in images than as viewed by eye. Please see further images on our website as these form an important part of the description. Viewing by appointment only.
