Circa 1920, Jacobean style oak monks bench of diminutive size. The bench has foliate carving on back, and on the table top. There is a geometric diamond shaped panel in the centre with a further leaf-like design. In the centre of the diamond is a small circular cross. This design is repeated on the centre bottom panel of the bench. It has a stylised apron and the piece stands on squat like feet. The lid in the seat lifts up, allowing for storage.
