George III Silver Barrel Mustard Joseph Wyatt
Very stylish little Georgian silver mustard pot in the form of a stylised coopered barrel with reeded bands top and bottom to represent the straps. A scroll handle and detailed thumb rest with loop opener. Hollow bottomed it has a replacement blue glass liner. Hallmarked for London 1792, maker Joseph Wyatt.
It measures 3" high, and 3 1/4" by 2 1/2" wide. Silver weight is 114g/3.7ozt.
Condition is very good the hinge has been re-pinned and there has been a small solder repair at the base of the opening lever. The lid sits fractionally forward as a result of the hinge work but not to functional detriment other than the lid doesn't tend to stay open on its own. No damage or dents, light surface wear only and the liner is also fine. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
