Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-
Here is a very stylish c1920s bed.
In a very flamboyant French Empire Style.
Very attractive figuring to the walnut veneers.
Decorated with very ornate ormolu mounts.
Standing on chunky, short cabriole legs, with acanthus carved knees, and ball & claw feet.
With custom made, solid pine bed slats.
The centre of the bed measures from outer edge to outer edge 4ft 10 inches, so could fit a UK kingsize mattress with only an inch each side hangover. From outer slat to outer slat measures 4ft 8 inches so could also fit a UK double with an inch each side gap. The wooden side rails are completely flush with the bed slats.
Completely dismantles into a headboard a footboard, two side-rails, the pine slats stack. Easy to assemble.
The bed will be dismantled ready for collection, we are happy to assist with loading if required.
The condition is excellent antique condition, with very minor signs of age and use.
