For collectors of Foley China and in particular the 1934 Harrods Art in Industry exhibition, this is an important design by Thomas Acland Fennemore. In 1932 he became director of Brain & Co. Ltd, Foley China Works, Fenton and in 1934 he arranged the exhibition along side his head designer, Freda Beardmore. The exhibition showcased modern art for the table by leading designers of the day. The trio is in immaculate condition and carries the signature of Thomas Acland. Other contributors for Foley included Vanessa Bell, Laura Knight, Graham Sutherland, Paul Nash and Duncan Grant.
