First Period Worcester Porcelain Tea Cup & Saucer
A pretty Worcester porcelain tea cup and saucer painted in enamels sprays of garden flowers in a pink and purple based palette with a little purple bug and some tiny green leaves on the saucer applied to hide where some bubbles burst in the glaze during firing. Gilt rims and detail to the handle. Meissen style mark with the 9 digit, c.1770.
The saucer measures 13cm (5 1/8") wide and 2.7cm (1 1/16") high and the cup measures 8cm (3 1/8") rim to rim and 4.7cm (1 7/8") high.
In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration and only minor handling wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
