A good Worcester porcelain slop bowl, painted in polychrome enamels with the chinoiserie inspired "Boy In The Window" pattern, c.1770, in a palette predominantly of reds, plums, teal and purple with a touch of gilding. One side features the "boy in the window" with a girl peering around the corner at him and the other features a family greeting a tradesman, the 2 scenes separated by stylised reserves of foliage in black and red with small gilt panels. The inside has a fancy underglaze blue printed frieze and the base has the Wigornia stylised W mark.

It measures 12cm (4 3/4") wide and 5.8cm (2 1/4") high.

Condition is very good with no damage ore repair. Minor handling wear, there is a small red floral device inside the base that shows some wear. Otherwise the outer enamels are in good order. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
