Fear of Bristol Walnut Fusee Wall Clock
A Victorian fusee drop dial wall clock. A 12" painted dial signed 'E FEAR 4, BRISTOL BRIDGE, BRISTOL'' with blued steel hands. A lovely quality burr walnut case with choice veneers. A brass bezel surround. The original side carvings to the base with a brass edged pendulum window.
An 8-day duration fusee timepiece mechanism. Circa 1880.
Edwin Fear of Bristol is recorded in A J Moores 'Clockmakers of Bristol' book as working from 1842-1898.
Height 22" /55cms Width 15" / 39cms Depth 5" / 13cms.
