English Silver and Scottish Agate Letter Opener
A lovely letter opener to grace the smartest of desk tops. The handle is most unusual made from a glorious and highly decorative piece of polished Scottish Agate with a variety of colours. It is joined to the blade with a wonderfully decorative repousse ferrule. The blade is sterling silver and this is where the hallmark can be found for Birmingham 1929 together with the makers mark for Charles William Fletcher.
Excellent condition measuring 8 1/4" in length.
