fabulous early george 1 walnut escritoire.
the top with stepped cornice and frieze drawer above crossbanded fall front which opens to reveal wonderful interior fitted with inlaid drawers, pigeon holes and secret compartments, the base with three long oak lined inlaid drawers and standing on bracket feet.
some age shrinkage and old repairs, the normal things one would expect with a piece of such immense age but overall this absolutely stunning escritoire is in remarkably good, sound condition, it really is the most striking piece of antique furniture and is not done justice by the photographs.
