A lovely quality early 20th Century walnut Granddaughter antique clock, features a substantial three train dead beat escapement movement with Whittington and Westminster chime on eight gongs on the quarters and with an hourly strike on a single gong, fine quality brass and silvered dial with black wax numerals incorporating strike / chime silent mechanism. The antique clock is housed in a lovely figured burr walnut case, the multiple moulded arched hooded top decorated with three finely turned and carved finials, with fluted columns either side of the hood, the middle section having oval shaped glass showing the pendulum and weights, with carved corner decoration on the burr walnut frame, standing on a square platform base. Circa 1900.
