This elegant symmetrical 3 row clasp is mounted in white metal which tests as platinum to the front and 9ct to the back and features a natural sapphire oval cut 6.5 x 5.3mm of good colour, flanked by radiating geometric settings with grain set diamonds which interlock with calibre cut synthetic sapphires.

Probably made in the 1920s when calibre synthetic sapphires and rubies were very fashionable and desirable.

Overall size 26.6 x 9.2mm.

Please note that one of the smallest calibre sapphires is chipped - see photograph.
