A Doulton Lambeth pair of Candlesticks.

A classic pair of Doulton Lambeth stoneware candlesticks made in the years 1882 to 1891. They are made of stoneware and have brass spacers between the ceramic pieces.
To the base there is the decorators mark of FAB for Frank A Butler. He worked for Doulton Lambeth for 40 years and was a man of "creative genius", whose work was admired by Queen Victoria and many politicians and people of rank. He was also profoundly deaf and nearly mute, making him an isolated figure amongst the workforce.

They stand 9.5 inches or 24cms tall and have a base diameter of 4.25 inches or 10.5cms.
The condition is very good, with no cracks, chips or restoration.
