For sale today we have this very fine, rare Biscuit Barrel by Hannah Barlow for Doulton Lambeth. Featuring a seldom seen and exceptionally well executed sgraffito design of 2 little girls with 2 saddled horses along with a pack of 4 hounds, all set in typically British rolling hills landscape. 6 1/2 " tall (8 1/4" handle up).
Stamped Doulton Lambeth cog mark, dated 1881. Incised HBB 37 for Hannah Barlow, along with a feint EDL for Edith Lupton. Also signed to the sgraffito panel which only happened with Hannah's better works.
In excellent condition being free of any damage or repair. Some expected rub to the silver plate. We are experienced dealers in mid to high end ceramics, metalware and other items.
