This is a very fine, exquisitely made cigarette case, now often used for business cards - just delightful with a wonderful filigree silver and gilt casing, which has a slight fine blue green & white enamel pattern. The craftsmanship is incredible - All clasps and hinges are in good order, opening to reveal a quality gilded interior- this is a very special piece that would make a gorgeous gift for any lady who has just about everything (measuring 9.2cm x 6.7cm), it is suitable for use with modern cigarettes, and still has its original retainer. This is a top quality piece with a fabulous weight at 81g. The hallmarks are for Portugal Gondomar 1913-38
