Clark’s “Anchor” Stranded Cotton Display Cabinet

Still in fabulous original condition, this small countertop display cabinet made for Clark’s “Anchor” stranded embroidery cotton. Dating from the early 20th century, it's constructed from dark-stained oak and features 3 tiers of trays, designed to hold colourful threads.

The cabinet has a clever lift mechanism that raises the top tier as the drawers are pulled forward, making a visually engaging display . The glazed lid proudly displays the original painted yellow anchor trademark, and the cabinet retains all its original fittings, including scissor hinges and turned wooden knobs.
