Clare Leighton New England Industries 10.5 inch 'FARMING' plate printed with a wood engraving commissioned by Wedgwood. Several subjects were commissioned depicting traditional New England industries, including Whaling, Grist Milling, Ice Cutting, Shipbuilding and Tobacco Growing. The back of each plate shows the title along with a description and signature. Impressed marks for 1952. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks although the 'M' is missing on the reverse (see photo).
