Circa 1910 Wedgwood Porcelain Coffee set

This Wedgwood service of six coffee cups and saucers dates to the beginning of the 20th century around 1910. It is a pattern we have not come across and there is a genuine rarity to the design. The cup and saucer form are easier to find but not decorated in this manner.
This is almost a cabinet set being a delicate/fine porcelain, with decor the same, a rich Prussian blue background overpainted with gold details and supporting a gold intricate foliate garland, the same garland repeats to the inside of the cup. The handle is also of note , a split join to the top and a neatly swept handle low down in the body of the bowl.
Size: each saucer is 11.5 cm diameter, each cup 5.2 cm high by 5.5 cm diameter at the lip.
Marks: printed Portland Vase with three stars under and the addition of England.
Condition, all pieces are in overall excellent condition, minor rubs to spots of gilding (to be expected due to age etc.) porcelain is all crisp white, Prussian blue is solid and undamaged, there is one cup with the finest of hairlines in the body, it genuinely is very fine, and only careful scrutiny revealed it.
We always value and price items after careful inspection, research and condition endeavouring to always reflect a fair value. Buchanan and Laing Galleries are a private client business. Appointments can be made by arrangement via email.
The Company is a distance selling business and as such abides by all current HM Government consumer regulations that apply to pre-owned, second hand, antique items sold online.
We welcome purchases from all over the world, however, we do not take any responsibility or pay for import charges and taxes that non UK purchasers may accrue.
