A stunning and very rare antique 18th Century Chinese memorial or funereal tile or panel, c1790. The panel is beautifully hand-carved in stone and is decorated with a central figure (possibly an immortal) playing a drum.

It has aged well, with great colour/patina. There is a large central crack to the stone with a small loss on the edges (see photographs), but this is entirely consistent with its age and use.
