Chinese porcelain small cockerel water pot decorated in Canton style - famille rose, including a pretty overglaze yellow. Two cartouches contain garden scenes - one with a cockerel and butterfly and the other showing a bird swooping on prey. Possibly made for the Asian market - Singapore, Vietnam. Dating circa 1890 ie Guangxu period. A lovely piece.
Condition: good - some grit attached to footrim, typical of period.
