A fabulous Chinese lacquered trunk in excellent antique condition, richly decorated with vibrant gilt, red, and green detailing. The front has a beautifully carved panel depicting figures among trees and pavilions, all framed within a deep gilt border that highlights the quality of the workmanship. The top is adorned with a bold circular medallion surrounded by symmetrical foliate motifs, giving the piece strong decorative presence. Inside, the trunk is clean, retains its original dark lacquer, and includes a removable tray. The iron lock plate and ring handle remain in place, their gentle wear adding to the trunk’s age and character. A striking and practical example of traditional Chinese craftsmanship — perfect as a statement storage chest or an eye‑catching decorative accent. All measurements are done to the widest point .
