Maker’s mark is clear.
Maker’s mark for Charles Horner, Mile Cross, Halifax & Frederick Street, Birmingham.
Approximate dimensions: silver hatpin head 35.3mm long by 20.3mm wide, weight 5.3grams, total length 18.5cm.
As usual, the long pin that the silver head is fitted to, is not silver.
The “stone” has a couple of quite a few nibbles and scratches which are difficult to see with the naked eye but can be seen with a magnifier.
Overall, in Very good condition.
An impressive looking hatpin by a sought-after maker.
