Charles Horner Silver and Amethyst Brooch c1908
We have for sale a very attractive attractive christmas gift, an Edwardian Charles Horner of Halifax, Yorkshire Silver and amethyst Brooch c1908.
This very striking brooch consists of a large amethyst coloured Bohemian glass stone in a silver setting with a twisted silver border. The brooch carries full hallmarks for Chester 1908 along with the makers marks for Charles Horner.
The brroch is 2.5cm long, 1.9cm wide and is in a good condition although the stone does exhibit the surface wear one would expect from a Bohemian glass stone of this size from this period. The brooch has the standard pin and hook type clasp, however the pin itself is an old replacement pin.
