Caughley Porcelain Polka Dot Fluted Coffee Cup
A sweet Caughley fluted coffee cup with scalloped rim and ear shape handle. Decorated only in gilt probably by the Chamberlain's workshop with polka dots and decorative friezes above the foot and below the rim. Acanthus leaf detail to the handle and gilt rim. c.1790.
It measures 6.3cm (2 1/2") high and 7cm (2 3/4") rim to rim,
In fair condition: there are two hairlines to the rim, one a very tight glaze line that doesn't show in the photographs, and another across the bottom of the handle. Very minor handling wear mainly to the gilt on the handle. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
