This is a splendid Victorian period brass double bed dating from around 1890 in super order. The bed has a most appealing design with good quality brassware in beautiful clean condition. This is in lovely order and still retains is original manufacturers cast label rivetted to the base board, Maison Charnaud of Lyon. The bed has it's original tight fitting side irons and white porcelain castors and comes with a solid pine timber latt base so simply requires a standard double mattress.
The bed measures 66" high at the head, 44" high at the base and is 56" wide by 82" long overall.
