This a brilliantly executed large, floral pastel by the monogrammist artist L.G., who has signed the pastel to the lower right and dated it 1972. It shows a well composed spray of flowers, including two large yellow and cream roses, some Japanese anemones (Anemone hybrida) in pink and white varieties, and some montbretia (Crocosmia), with an array of mixed foliage.

As yet, we have been unable to identify the artist from his or her monogram, but he or she displays a talent for both the medium and the subject matter.

The pastel is framed in a 3" gilt frame and will be supplied wired and ready to hang.
