Sn3428 Beautiful Edwardian bedroom suite in mahogany, comprising wardrobe and dressing table by Wylie & Lochhead
Stunning Edwardian, mahogany and inlaid, 2 door wardrobe of serpentine design, having moulded cornice with satinwood banding inlaid with ribbons above a pair of mirrored doors enclosing hanging section and hat / coat hooks fitted with original brass handles and flanked by satinwood crossbanded, serpentine sides, the base having practical capacious drawer flanked by 2 shaped drawers, all fitted with original brass handles, standing on plinth base. Splits into section enabling easy transportation.

Fabulous Edwardian, mahogany dressing table by Wylie & Lochhead of serpentine outline, having original bevelled edge mirror in satinwood crossbanded frame in inlaid and carved supports fitted with shaped shelves, figured mahogany, moulded top with antique jewellery compartment above 2 graduated, satinwood crossbanded drawers, flanked by 2 deep shaped drawers all fitted with original brass handles, all standing on slender tapering legs terminating in spade feet and original brass castors and united by shaped apron.
H70"-mirror H30.5" W47.5" D24"
This set has been sympathetically restored in wonderful condition throughout.

Wylie & Lochhead was formed by young cabinetmakers Robert Wylie and William Lochhead in 1829. They became highly successful, with a string of workshops, showrooms and warehouses in Glasgow employing over 1700 workers. By the 1900s they were a household name across Scotland, renowned for their artistic designs and high levels of craftsmanship.
Wylie & Lochhead employed the best talent in the area, developing close links with the Glasgow colleges and keeping abreast with the latest designs. Their three main designers were E.A Taylor, John Ednie and George Logan. In 1902, their Arts & Crafts Furniture designs were considered of such high quality they were displayed at the Turin International Exhibition alongside those of Rennie Mackintosh and the Glasgow Four. We will then arrange a courier to come and collect it, the cost of which will be deducted from your refund. The furniture must arrive back to us in the same condition that it left us.
