Arts & Crafts Cotswold School Wardrobe
An Arts & Crafts oak Cotswold School wardrobe unit with chest of drawers and bookshelf. Designed by Peter Waals and made by final year handicraft students under the direction of Edward Barnsley in the 1930s for Hazlerigg Hall (now part of Loughborough University). The wardrobe door has fielded panels with cantered corners and hexagonal knobs. Exposed dovetails throughout. This item breaks down into four component pieces plinth, wardrobe, chest of drawers and shelves.
