Antique mahogany wardrobe
This Antique mahogany wardrobe was made in the Netherlands circa 1820.
Made in fine flame mahogany veneers that were well chosen by the cabinetmaker before starting the job.
The top section with the pair of doors with the half arch to each panel, and the carved dividing bar running down the centre. The inside of the doors are veneered in satin birch.
Above the doors is the cornice with its dentil cornice with the inverted corner feature
The base with 3 long graduated drawers fitted with beautiful, shaped plate handles with oval pulls, The centre of these with an urn and a bust to each side.
The interior is lined in a period material.
This wonderful wardrobe will look wonderful in a hall, landing or bedroom, or even a drawing room as an impressive TV or drinks cabinet.
