Art Nouveau Silver Footed Bowl - Mappin & Webb
Fabulous art nouveau style silver bowl with deep round bellied shape with decorative raised seam panels and set on four ornate cast feet formed as lion paws with acanthus leaf detail to the terminals. The walls flare out to a lobed shaped rim with fine pierced border of flowers and leaves. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1911, makers Mappin & Webb.
It measures 4 3/8" (11cm) high and 6 5/8" (17cm) wide and weighs 477g/15.3ozt.
Condition is excellent. There has been a professional repair to a small section of the filigree work. Surface wear is very light and good for age and use and hallmarks are fine and clear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
