This is a striking hand-made wrought iron lamp dating to the 1920s. As can be seen in the photos, the lamp is in great condition for its age. The black paint has a lovely soft sheen and has only one or two very minor chips which adds to the character of the lamp. The lamp has been rewired with three-core braided black flex and a new bayonet light fitting, bulb, plug, and inline switch have been fitted. The lantern has glass panes which have been covered on the inside with cream coloured paper (to match the remnants of the original) and this gives the lamp a soft warm glow when illuminated. The lamp stands approximately 47.5cm tall, and is 36.5cm in width and 15.cm in depth.
